It's sunny here, supposed to be in the low 80's all weekend. TAN lines will be evident soon.

I hate you.  Figuratively.  Record low temps here in Mary-land tomorrow.  We do have a hot tub, though, so the TAN lines stay sharp through the cold months.

Sunny and warm here (as usual this time of year).

Wild horses came into the yard this morning.

Wild horses would be too cool. We had a rather large frog in or window well a couple nights ago. I jumped in and got it out, put it in a bucket to take it out to the marsh/creek out behind the house. Only got half-way down the (wooded) trail before it jumped out. That thing had a pretty good vertical leap.

We've had a raccoon come up our front steps a couple times. Motion sensor camera caught it. I gets to the top of the stairs, turns around and leaves.

We've had a couple of coyotes spotted around here, plus lots of deer.  And frogs.  And a million of those little spiders everywhere,  but they eat the mosquitoes, right?

Our trail cams get coyotes, foxes, raccoons, skunks, and chipmunks.

we has one sequence where the first frame was skun center, coyote snout to the left. Second frame, skunk tail raised and coyot closing in. Third frame the altercation. Yes, the smell woke us up even with windows closed. Skunk was back a couple nights later.

we saw a bobcat cross the road the other night

We live out in the country and see all types of animals too.  I did trap a skunk one that was getting into the chicken coop.  I was pretty proud of the fact this it didn't spay during the process.  The possum, raccoon, white-tailed deer, and cotton-tailed bunnies are tame as lab rats around here.  We have come across armadillo, feral hogs, and fox.  My favorite right now is personally the fireflies.  I grew up in the Rocky Mountains and there are no fireflies there so when I gave to the midwest for the first time they were the coolest thing int he world.  I still haven't lost the fascination with then and they are starting to peak right now.  Two years ago when they were peaking I stopped at an empty field that grew hay on my way home from work right at sunset and there were hundreds of them to where at any second I could see 20-30 of them glowing.

I once saw a coyote and a road runner at different times on a trail near my house. I was one Acme delivery truck away from never returning.
