My first half marathon so no pressure, no PR to beat. Been running with a friend once a week at chatting away tempo, increasing the distance by half a km every week. We got up to 18km so I was confident I could do the distance.
At that tempo it would have taken me 2h and 13 minutes, which was my official goal but I was hoping to go under 2h10. The plan was to start at 6:30 minutes per km for the first 7k, 6:15 for the next 7 and 6 for the final 7.
6:30 felt far too slow and I was comfortable at a 6:05-6:10 pace which I held for most of the race, except 2k around the 15-17k when I was much slower and the last 3 when I was under 6.

Got there 25 minutes before start
No need to warm up, the first few km were going to be my warmup.
