I checked a few sites but could not find 10K in the november/december months in the New England area.

Any ideas?

Nikki, did you check the New England Running Calendar...you can click on the appropriate month and browse through the races.

Nikki,

This race is on 11/11 and is a 5 mile trail run. Plus if you have kids with you you can get into Edaville for 1/2 price later to see the xmas lights and ride the train.

I am doing the 5 mile and my daughter is doing the 2 mile (I think).  We did it last year and it was great!

hmm...How "trail" is trail? obstacles & roots & stuff or like a packed trail...this is in carver, right?

I did the 2 miler with my daughter last year. It was mostly sandy, grassy...around cranberry bog trails.   Not too bad.   I have no idea how the 5 mile trail is.  I didn't hear anyone complaining.  Yes, it's in Carver.. not very far from Rte 495.

My impression is that it is not "obstacles & roots."
