Local Turkey Trot, 5 minutes from my house. Had a chance to run w/ my friend who I had to bail on in Sept bc of my back injury. I was just happy to be running pain free and knew that my PB of 21 minutes was not w/in reach. Shooting for 24 mins and I came in just under. Definately a struggle but I recovered quickly. Happy, given my lack of consistent running. Good prep for a 5 miler on Thanksgiving morning again w/ my friend Phil. He's going to do The Hook Mountain Half Mary w/ me in April too. Good to have a fast training partner. Nice to be back in action too!

For such a small race they had a nice spread. Had some water then a bagel and some Starbucks as it got shilly while we watched others win lots of raffle prizes. Just a fun local race on a pancake flat course where you can push harder than normal.The money went to a town worker's family who was tragically killed recently. So that's just a bonus.
