The Turkey Trot was mostly a true trot for the first couple of miles. Thousands of people trying to make turns within the first half mile made for some good backups. And then there is always the people who start in front, but are walkers. No biggie. It was a fun run, not necessarily a race, so we just enjoyed it, and thought about how much more turkey we could eat later for getting up early to run on Thanksgiving! We did put in the effort in the end though and did some negative splitting to still use it as a somewhat race in preparation for the Vegas half
