Swim
Comments: Good swim for me. I have averaged one swim per week for the past month or more. My goal was 18 minutes and I did 18:01. Close enough. What would you do differently?: Learn how to do flip turns. Transition 1
Comments: Had trouble getting shoes on. I didn't wear socks, didn't dry my feet and did a poor job of getting them on. What would you do differently?: Dry feet before putting on shoes. Run
Comments: Good run. Just like the swim, I haven't run hardly at all this past month. The first mile was tough after the swim. It took me about 5 minutes to get my breathing to a normal rate. After that I kept a constant pace. The run was longer than 5k based on the times. What would you do differently?: Train. Post race
Warm down: Walk, dring Gatorade, jump in pool, shower. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training over the past month. Event comments: This was a great race. There were just as many volunteers as competitors. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of refreshments. Just an overall fun event with no expectations, no pressures, and a good group of people. Nothing. Drove to race with Sharon. Talked with a few friends, went to bathroom (not with friends).
Jog, 3-4 pick ups, 4 laps of the pool.
