The formula and multipliers are as follows:

Temperature Wind factor

30-35 .5 point light winds (5-10 mph) 1 point
25-29 1 points 11-19 mph- 2 points
15-24 3 points 20+- 4 points
1-14 5 points
0 and below 8 points

Precip Bike multiplier

drizzle/light snow 1 point 1 point for outdoor ride sub 50 degrees
heavy rain/snow 3 points

Suck-o-meter scoring
Time in minutes x (Temp mult+Wind mult+precip mult+ Bike mult)= Suckitude score

53 x 2 (12 mph winds) = 106

warmish out, high 30s, but windy. wind was to my back for part of it, but it was blowing hard enough that i cut my run short since i was already tired and wasn't looking forward to being even more tired running into that wind.

Crummy weather running is great.  This picture is from my daughters race last Saturday.  32 degrees and freezing rain.  There were a lot of people from SoCal and Texas that were looking a little blue.  At least they plowed the snow off of the course.

Thanks autumn for getting this thread rolling, and what an awesome picture!!!  Have a craptastic week everyone!!!

Warm weather seems to be hitting the midwest for the next week, so our scores will be down...

Little crummy run for me today.   Temp was just ouside the range at 39, but I had 8mph winds and light precip, so  36 mins x (1 wind +1 precip) = 72 points

I normally get some decent points for my long saturday rides, but that got canned last week.  I will make a concerted effort at suckage this week.

THAT's the attitude we're looking for!!!!

It was exeptionally foggy this morning and I could have possibly skewed in some wet points this morning, but I elected not to.  To be brutally honest, the air was as wet as it could possibly be WITHOUT actual raindrops hitting the ground.  oh well...

lots going on today, so even though the weather should be in the 40s today, i ran first thing this morning so that it was done. cold, but barely any wind, so it didn't feel so bad. lots of patches of ice that were a bit slippery, mostly a problem on climbs when i really need traction to be able to push the stroller up the hill. anyway...

61 mins x 1 (29 degrees) = 61

I had 19 mph winds.  One more mph and it would have almost doubled my points for the day.  Oh well to that too.

Ran a marathon on Sunday with 15mph winds.

3hrs 33 min = 213 * 2 (for winds) = 426 points.

Today's run was only 10 mph winds

41 * 1 = 41 (I'm glad you don't take off points for warm weather as it was 70F here).

Dang warm weather, I'm still looking at a zero for the week.  40+ and raining, almost all of our snow is gone.  It might get into points weather by the weekend.  Fingers are crossed.

I had a nice crummy workout today for the first time in a while because of this freakish warmth.

50 x (2 (16mph winds) + 3 (heavy rain)) = 250

Making it all worse... It was 44 degrees, real feel 41, and I was doing a fairly fast and tough workout on the track so I wore short sleeves figuring I'd get hot. Didn't realize it was going to rain though, which dropped the temp quite a bit. I had that beautiful numb arm and hand condition by the time I was done. I at least foiled part of the weather's nasty plan by wearing tights, thus plastering my pants to my legs before the rain even began Oh and just to rub it in, it hasn't really rained much the rest of today, only while I was out there (seriously - it started 3 mins into my workout and ended while I was on the last lap). I'd take zero degrees with snow over cold rain any day!

Crossing my fingers for less rain tomorrow.

Hey do we get points for running in hot weather (okay - almost hot)? 78F here today. If not for the Texas Hills (a.k.a. wind) there would be no points.

81 minutes with 17mph winds = 81*2 = 162points.

Boy this nice weather really sucks. All I got for this week is from today's run : 43:30min x 2 (15mph wind) (no temp points 39 degrees) = 87. Here's hoping for a cold front!

The temp finally droped again.  Had a great run yesterday - blue skies, no wind, 17 degrees at the start, 23 degress at the end, ave = 20 degrees for a 3x mult.

12/16 - 2:10 run x3 = 390 Points

Only points for the week.
