So I know that there are 5 of us signed up to do this race and I've seen a few more 'interested' people mention it on their logs.  I was chatting with Lou and wondering if we wanted to somehow meet up out at the start.  Maybe get some warmup laps in together, etc.

Since it's my first year doing the race, does anyone have any suggestions on where to meet up?  I know that they have directed us to park in the Home Depot parking lot, but if anyone knows that area, maybe we can designate a corner and a time.  Just an idea.

Thanks...I wish it were only going to be *chilly*...I believe it's going to be obscenely cold (for GA at least)...thank God other BT'ers will be there...

You *could* come out and cheer and have hot coffee for us at the finish.....just a suggestion.

As for those of us crazy enough to actually DO the race, the Home Depot parking lot is the best place to park. We can meet there about 7:30 and get situated. I will bring my tools in case of any mechanical issues, and Rebecca I will bring your Zipps. My cell # is 404-425-2135 if you need to call me for anything.

Have any of you received your start times yet?

That is an excellent suggestion, and if I were going to be in town I would definitely do it, but I will be in Charleston for the weekend.  Next time

meet at Home Depot sounds good...Meredith providing coffee sounds better...everybody remember to bring your trainer if you have one...if not, see if you can borrow one...

Re: start times, I sent an email to Jim this morning...here's his response (I embellished the check-in time for those wondering):

"Greetings,

It is required that ALL riders check-in before 8:00 am. We will be emailing out the start times tomorrow evening. Otherwise, you can find out when you pick-up your number on Saturday.

Good Luck,

Jim"

Good luck guys. I am surprised they are asking people to park at the home depot that is a private business? If you go to the trailhead right across the street is a grass field that I have used for parking when doing a 5k there. Should be plenty of parking in that field for all of you. If you are there around 12 I will be ready to do the mtb ride on my red specialized say hi if you see me. John.
