So how's everyone doing this week.  Has anyone had to make any modifications to their original training/diet plan yet.  And just for fun... If you listen to music while you train what do you listen to?

Doing great on this end.  Monday’s weigh in was 225 lbs, this morning was 224 lbs (yes I understand it can be about water weight), started at 228 lbs.  I listen to no music while I run.  My running coach is my dog.  For trainer rides it’s one of the four Spinerval dvd’s or watch a movie and do interval training.  As for nutrition, have the good and bad days, and just work hard at limiting the bad days.  Monday night got little sleep with a screamy young’n so Tuesday was a BAD eating day as I was always hungry.  Slept well last night and am having a good eating day.  Hope everyone is having more good days than bad.

Howdy all,

I haven't mad any changes to my training or diet, it seems to be working.

Music: If on the trainer it's XM's Top Tracks - classic rock. Most of the time I watch the tube, last time was Mixed Martial Arts, time before that boxing.

I can't watch anything that requires too much attention, but it seems that people beating the crap out of one another is ok. Go figure.

I don't run with tunes, my hearing is terrible so I don't want to hinder my ability to hear approaching vehicles, snarling dogs, etc.

I know people that swim with MP3 players and they love it. I could see that working for me, but I'm not about to spend 250 bucks on a SwiMP3.

Hey Tupuppy, which Spinervals do you use? I'm gonna need to get a few if I'm to make it 'til spring without blowing my brains out.

16.0 - Aerobase Builder, 80 minutes

5.0 - Mental Toughness, 90 minutes

13.0 - Tough Love, 180 minutes (have only worked up to 2 hours so far and have yet to do all of the standing and pedaling that's asked for)

9.0 - Have Mercy, 120 minutes (just got it for Christmas and have only started it once.  20 minutes into it and I was already getting fried)

5.0, 13.0, and 16.0 got me through last winter.

Don't be bashful about getting one that seems to be beyond current capabilities as it will give you a chance to work up to it.

No changes, just lot's of work-outs. The sun finally showed itself and we hit 60 degress today. 2 short outdoor runs today and a good swim this evening.

Gotta have tunes when I run. Nothing like a little Linkin Park, Beastie Boys or B-52's to keep you pumped.

I'm at the same weight as when I weighed in, but I was up a little yesterday.  Definitely going in the right direction.  I've gotten in a lot more workouts this week than in the previous weeks, so I'm hoping that pushes the loss a little more this week.  I've been doing well on the food front, too.  I've been cooking with my husband so I have a lot more control over eating healthy than when we get busy and eat out.  Planning ahead for this is really important.

Lately, I'm listening to Cake or Nine Inch Nails during training.  I shuffle all the songs from all albums for my workout.

Things are going pretty well for me. I am already making a change! I need to start working out twice a day until Spring. Winter still has me moving really slow. I think it's my 'grizzly genes' acting out. I always lose weight faster in Spring and Summer from the outdoor activities and less boredom-eating.

Music for me is anything by OutKast or Black-eyed Peas to get me moving.

Hope everyone is having a losing week

I am doing OK food wise and have an easy exercise week this week. Only had a easy swim Monday and easy run Tuesday and REST day yesterday.

Tonight is my first TRI (indoor) of the season and I am starting to get nervous.

The scale hasn´t moved much since Monday but its probably due to "monthly female" water rentention issues so I am OK with that. Still have time until the WI.

I usually never run without my MP3 Player and usually listen to the same songs all the time.

My husband just got some of those spinnervals for the Trainer and I might try them out. Although I usually watch taped TV shows while on the trainer.

My original training plan still holds, I'm making sure I stick to it as best I can, no changes really needed.

Music wise, I listen to an iPod shuffle with a large selection of tunes on it, bands that spring to mind are, AC~DC, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, 3 Doors Down, Audioslave, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach.

I love listening to music, it makes the workouts fly past.

I weighed myself for the 1st time all week this morning. 233 which is down a total of 4 lbs since we started. I've been sick for the past 10 days so I haven't worked out. I haven't really paid any attention to my diet either so I guess it is good I didn't put on weight.

I finally feel better so starting today I'm going to get back to working out and monitoring my nutrition.

I really like to have tunes when I'm running and music or a DVD is required for the trainer. I listen to a lot of Phish and Widespread Panic and throw in some Classic Rock for variety.

This week is going a lot better. I've been able to get more swims in, which is nice. And I'm finally kicking this cold, which makes my lungs happy.

I started listening to Podrunner podcasts when I run and bike, and I really enjoy them. They are at a set tempo which helps find my stride. Plus I kind of like zoning out a bit, and this is perfect for that subliminal effect.

I was happy to hold my weight last week, even with the lack of workouts. Keep up the good work guys and gals.

Things are going good on this end.  I took a little bit too much of an advantage on Fat Tuesday, but I've been doing well otherwise.  I've done some sort of work out every day this week so far (Today is a rest day...but I may ride the trainer for a bit when I get home), even if it hasn't been tri related.  It was nice to be able to run outside, even if I had to be careful where people hadn't shoveled that were icy slushy messes.  Yesterday stared Lent, so out went sweets...and I've decreased my soda intake (diet soda) to 2 per day (down from at least 6) and really upped my H2O intake.

I've actually been doing more of my training sans iPod, but when I do use it, I use up tempo stuff...every thing from Black Eyed Peas to Newsboys.

I'm going to do less weights and more running. That's my modification. I might also cross train more on rollerblades and tennis and stuff. I am finding the joy of running (which I used to hate). Yeah...this week has sucked so far. I've had a cold and now it feels like I've got the stomach flu. I have a viola audition on Saturday and yesterday I had to play my first audition with a 103 temp. I thought I sucked but the judges liked it and complimented it. Go figure. I was sweating and sniffling and barely able to keep my eyes open. It was bad. Lot's of stress...welcome to college right?

I usually listen to adult contemporary or 80's. I don't like vulgar lyrics.

I'm so sorry team - I got the flu really bad, and then had a major sledding accident, so I've been out for over a week. Sorry! I'll do the weigh in tomorrow, and hopefully be able to exercise then as well!!!
