yeah, it does look like a good crowd.

based on the daylight predictions...... I'm going to try to get a ride in at TMS tonight to make sure i remember how to ride in the dark.

Really though, Sat. won't be too bad. there is only one strip that won't be very well lit and that will be the Davis Blvd leg of the ride. by the time we hit lap 2 everything should be fine. Keller Smithfield, 1709, and Bear Creek Parkway are well lit.

Recieved this today from the race director:

Hi Tommy,

The 5k and triathlon will be delayed 15-20 minutes until there is daylight enough to see.

Thanks. See you there.

Now I am yelling!!!!  Are we gonna meet somewhere Friday night?  I would suggest a place but I am from OKLAHOMA.  Geno2u is buying beer for all!!!   Where we gonna meet and who is gonna be there.

If you don't respond, I am gonna let the air out of your tires while you are swimming!

I think the plan is to meet Friday evening at Joe's Pizza and Pasta in Keller. It's on 1709 along the main drag in Keller. Pretty close to the race site. Not sure what time though. That would be Marcy's call. She's a resident, I'm just a resident's son in law.

I'm thinking 7:30.  That way Everyone will have time to get thru the traffic.   I'll call them and see if we can reserve the side room in the restaurant.

If anyone has an opinion about a different time, please speak up!

Oh sure, putt all of the pressure on me!  Joes it will be.  It's a great little local hole in the wall typw of place but the food is great, portions are huge and it is cheap as anything.

How does 7:30 sound?  Let me know if you are coming.  I know that have a private room and if there are enough of us, I can reserve it.

So far we have

dodgersmom (marcy)
doughboy (steve)
apw0397 (andy)
swatson (shannon)
dww2 (danny)
gino2u (gino)
tri_it_cajun_style (laurie)

add your name to the list...the more the merrier

adding 15 or 20 minutes should be perfect (at least for us slower swimmers). I figure by the time I get into the water and finish that will add another 20 minutes and it will be nice and bright out.

Put me down for a maybe on friday,  I'll let you know for sure later today.

My office is basically on the bike loop and I've got my bike here at work.  I'm gonna ride the loop a few times starting at about 3pm.  Anybody else gonna be out there?

No, they would not allow us to take an entire room.  Marcy or i will go over early to have them start putting tables together since they wouldn't promise us anything.

In case anyone was wondering, there are plenty of showers in the house so you can bring clean clothes, and wash up.  We haven't decided if we are going to charge for the towels though....Hmmmm
