Pre-race routine:

got there early, did some streches uptstairs. I did some skipping and running outside to stay warm and warm up.
Run
  • 39m 42s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 12m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

did great, picked up stream on the 2nd loop, that really helped my time. Overall my best time ever, so I am pleased. I think my mind wandered more than I like but I keep coming back to center and prayer and that really helped. So many layers made me too warm at sometimes and cold as hell at other points. At times I think I was shuffle running and not bounding, it really makes a difference. Glad to see Alex at finish line, if he missed it again he was going to have to walk home.
What would you do differently?:

nothing, maybe stretch more but for the most part, it was good. shut, I got my best time ever.
Post race
Warm down:

walked and hung out to talk to people but outside and inside.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing, okay maybe that wind on the southside of the lake.

Event comments:

would of liked at least one staff on the back end of the race. And the stuff at the end could of been more to the point, it got long had to leave before over.

Nice race!  Good times - must have been cold!  Always hard to dress for cold versus the heat of the run.

Glad you had a good time!  Looks like you've been getting in some good training!  Good on you!
