Comments: Patti told me she wanted me to go out and leave nothing on the course and that's exactly what I did! This was without a doubt the best 5K of my life! There was no way I was going to let my watch turn over to 33 minutes before I hit the finish line. What would you do differently?: I had some stomach issues at mile 2. Nothing that would have caused me to have to stop, but I may have gotten an extra 15-30 seconds if not for that. All good though! Post race
Warm down: Got some water and waited for Steve to come across. This was just a training run for him but he did awesome too! What limited your ability to perform faster: I just have to keep putting in the miles. For the longest time, I never thought it was possible for me to break a 12 minute mile, and now I've broken 11. It can only get better! Event comments: Great organization. Lots of food and drink. Volunteers on the course were great. Water stations every mile. I will definately do this again! It took all I had to get out of bed this morning! But I did! Showered, got dresses and had a slice of whole grain bread with PB. Headed out to the zoo.
Met up with a friend from work who was doing the 5k fun run and did a little stretching
