I'm not sure if anyone posted this somewhere else. but if not, here it is.

10.8 miles on the excersize bike at the gym, after a full body workout with the weights.

What'd you do today?

thanx for starting this.

I did 35 minutes on my elliptical trainer. Did I mention I have 2 teenagers? I think I'll go do more later tonight. The 18 yr old just flunked out of college. Somebody shoot me..............

I ran 11miles this a.m. with a few intervals interspersed. Beginning a taper for Miami Marathon in two weeks.

I feel for you Ellen. My 8- and 11-year-olds seem to be on strike as far as classwork and homework go, so the younger one is flunking two classes and the older one is just barely skimming by. I'll be glad to be next to you at the firing squad.

Hey tri mom... too cold to shoot yourself. I have had to dig 3 holes this week in up to 8 Inches of frost. Not that I am any rollmodle but it took me 6 years to plug my way through Community Colledge. Amazing what working in the real world dose to the ambitions of colledge students. Keep up the training and the weather will break soon for some out door solitude.

I'm looking for someone to pull the trigger.

Good luck to you, it has been a struggle with her since she began high school and I would not wish this on anyone. I really thought she had gotten her act together in college and then the grades came in the mail. Apparently she just never went. Well, life as she knew it has ended. She is now basically a prisoner in my home. I always wanted to be a warden. NOT!

sorry.....I can't help but to vent......I hope that translates to a desire to train.

thanx Joe. Don't you have any snow? We've got plenty of it here.

the reason it's so hard is because I did the exact same thing at her age. I will be 41 next month and am FINALLY working on my degree. I have worked a crappy job for too many years and was finally able to leave so I could go back to school. I was able to do that because my husband finally got a job that paid well enough for me to leave. And the reason he did was because he went to school full time for 2 years while he worked full time. Went to Boston from the Cape every day. And worked full time at night. Almost killed him. Two straight years he did that, even in the summer. So we are no strangers to education late in life and had really hoped she would take an easier path.

Since I am a full time student and basically unemployed, she even qualified for a state grant which was full freight. That's now gone, as is her health insurance. It's just an ugly, ugly picture.

Went mountain biking. Broke my bike. Fixed my bike. By then, it was raining.

22 miles on the road bike yesterday. Yesterday was better. :-)

oh yeah TriMom, i know what you're talking about. I'm going back to school in a month after taking 5 years off and being in the real world. Hopefully your daughter will wise up and get on the ball.

swam 600 yards
ran 4 miles

After wards thought my short lived triathlon training was down tubes. Had blood in my urine, Panicked called wife made appt. for doctor. But also explored on the web and found out that a lot of distance runners face this after a marathon. Even though I am not a distance runner, I beieve because of my weight it caused to happen with less distance. It is caused by an empty bladder bruising and will go away with rest, so I will take a couple of days off or just swim. Will still go to doctor to make sure it is not going to kill me.

Ps for my runs I have been doing Walk 3 run 2 and today felt real bad at first. It was kind of painful,so I was going slow. Well after one of my walk sessions I went to a lot faster setting by accident and right away my legs felt a lot better going faster rather than just jogging. I was really pleased with the second half of my run it was five minutes faster than the first.

glad to hear you're ok. DO go to the doctor tho. But I'm sure you don't need someone else's wife nagging you too
