What would you do differently?:

Train more for the bike

What would you do differently?:

Agian not much
Run
  • 19m 3s
  • 2 miles
  • 09m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

I could tell I was tired, I just didn't feel like I could push any harder. I was passed by 4-5 here, mainly people that I had held off during the bike.

I had one young kid that was running (25 maybe) that was walking toward the end, about .4 mile left. I told him to run with me and encouraged him to keep up, that we only had very short distance to go. He started running with me and then took off, I think he beat me by about 20-30 seconds. I was trying to push, but I took off and could tell if I kept going that fast I was going to puke. So I backed off and let someone else pass me about 1/10th of a mile out.
What would you do differently?:

Bricks, more of them. Work on stamina.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around talking to various people, grabbed some water and a sample cliff bar.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Racing Sunday, and lack of brick training.

Event comments:

Not really a race, just a monthly time to test yourself.
