Comments:

Walk the water stops, took a gel at 0:35 and 1:15. I wasn't thinking and had Gatoraide and water at the 4th water stop, and then felt bloated for the rest of the race. I should have taken one more gel at 1:45, but I didn't think I could stomach it.
Post race
Warm down:

Chatted for a bit, then I was starting to stiffen up. Took some advil as soon as I got into the car and then had an ice bath as soon as I got home.

Event comments:

This was my first run-only race, and the longest distance I've ever ran, so my only goal was to finish. I actually had fun and am excited to try it again, only this time I'll train more consistantly, and get in some speed work and longer runs.

Congrats on finishing your first Half-Marathon!

Sounds like you've learned some good lessons to apply for next time... maybe at the QCM??

What John meant to say is "you kicked terry's @ss timewise" That' s a great result. "Terry can't crack 2:30 even after all the fancy pants training he's been doing."

Great run. Yet another person who I'll be following way behind at Spin-off!
