Question.... I notice that when I have two workouts on one day (for example, the other day I did a bike and swim workout on the same day) only one workout shows up on facebook... any way to fix that?

Hi,

This could be an issue where Twitter cannot overwrite the Facebook status that is still current. I have found that if I have not recently cleared my Facebook Status Twitter will not update. So, multiple workouts will work, but will need manual assistance by clearing your Facebook Status, prior to entering data here on BT.

Okay... thanks. I'm kind of a newbie to facebook, though. By "clearing" my FB status, do you mean just going in and manually deleting the last "Jennifer is ____________" statement?

Hi!

I have run a few tests posts on Facebook and Twitter, as well as a couple of notes to some Facebok app developers I know. The results of the test are that one should not need to clear their Facebook status prior to a post coming through from BT via Twitter. The evening that I was trying this out there was some database work on the server where my account was located and this caused the issue I previously expressed.

So, as Officer Barbrady from South Park would say, "Ok People, nothing to see here".   :-)

Everything should work without manual clearing  the last "Michael is _______" statement.

I've been looking into it and it isn't a small proposition. Developing for Facebook requires acquiring a new skill set with a fairly steep learning curve. Given that we already have a full schedule of projects that will take us through at least the next few months, I don't see anything happening with this until mid-summer at the earliest.

This doesn't mean we are not ever doing it.  Evaluating the widgets we realize it would be a big diversion to have to program to Facebook's code....and since widgets are on the rise and writing them to work on lot's of sites could suck up a lot of time and money, we are looking into the option of a 3rd party to do our widget buildouts who are familiar with the code for all the major social sites.

We need to get a few projects done and settled before we start researching it more.

I'd love to have the ability to do the reverse of what's been discussed. Since the advent of FB I'm on there now way more than BT. I'd love to be able to keep my BT training log up to date from Facebook. Is something like that possible?

Hey, Im not getting any results form that link

What's the title of the FB group?  There's way over 500 "BT"s, and I get no results searching for the obvious!

That's because the 'new' Facebook is LAME!!

Anywho, just search for Beginner Triathlete.  It will show up right at the top.  If not, maybe this link will work...

econway - 2009-01-21 4:56 PM This will be great. I'd like an application that lets me continue entering my workouts in the BT log, but displays the results on my Facebook page, in a box or on a tab.

You can do that now. Create a Twitter account, enable it in your training log, and then configure your Twitter account to update your Facebook status.

i have twitter and facebook connected so that's one function solved but how do you "enable it in your training log"?
I know this is an OLD post - maybe the function is gone???

Settings> Training Log Settings > Send training updates via Twitter?

That should get you there.
