Pre-race routine:

Up early, get the crew moving. Two slices of whole wheat toast. Drove 40 minutes to event. Got tags and peed.
Event warmup:

Ran 5 minutes. Stretched and lined up.

Comments:

I ran with Yoshi. It was her first race of the year. We started a little to close to the front of the line. Very crowded race so lots of jockying. Y started with a good pace. Little walk up the hill. Then back to running. I heard the splits for the first mile and knew we could run under a 11 minute mile. She took the challenge and picked it up. Yes! 10:49. We ran more then we walked. The polar bears layed around and watched us go by. We were trying to catch the Moms in Motion. Missed them at the end. Y put a good push on.
What would you do differently?:

Walk the first hill. I had fun running with Yoshi.

Warm down:

I always thought it was a cool down? Blue popcicles (4). Went up to Zoo.

Event comments:

Y improved her time by 2 minutes over last year. Yeah! Lots of fun. Good group of runners and spectators.
