Wife has a QR Caliente with Ultegra/Mavic and I ride a Litespeed Saber with Dura-Ace/Mavic. Road bike is a Serotta Colorado II with Ultegra. Mountain bike wise I have a Cannondale SE2000 and wife has a Gary Fisher SuperCaliber.......thats about it.

Kind of in the market for a mountain bike tandem next.....I think I have a disease!

Cannondale R600 road bike. Just bought a Ironman 2000 frame in Saeco team colors that I'll be building up as I gradually acquire parts.

Here's a pic of the identical frame from a different auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22681&item=7...

Of course, I paid $400 less than this guy's starting bid! Apparently, what I paid is about $300 below dealer cost, so I'm pleased with the deal.

Max, that is a beautiful ride!  I have a soft spot in my heart for Cannondales and I sincerely hope the company does well in the future.  They were one of the original "pioneers" in alternative frame tube materials.  Their designs continue to be a beautiful blend of form and function.

I am begging everyone not to bring up the game this past weekend...Please!

Raleigh Marathon. I think the bike is 22 years old. 12 speed, 56cm size frame, 27x1 1/8 Panracer tires. Standing weight is about 26 lbs. I got this bike at a yard sale over the summer. Used it in two Tris over the summer, and performed at average for my Age Group. Once I got use to the feel of a Road bike, I kind of like this bike. I am averaging 17-18mph every Sunday morning on my 30 mile rides.

My friends think I am cheap!! I looked at Treks and Cannondales the other week at my LBS, but I have a fully functioning bike. My race plan for the 2005 season is 3 sprint tris in the Metro NYC Area. Been thinking about upgrades to Clipless pedals, Shoes and maybe tires which could get me to 20mph.

Speaking of Cannondale.... I just bought a 2005 Cannondale R700 Triple road bike. I was riding on my mountain bike with skinny tires. So far I am very happy with the bike.

I'm cheap, I have a 25+year old Windsor with 10 speed suntour equipment.  I'm planning on getting clipless pedal for the winter, so I can get used to them on the trainer.  Clipon tribars might be a early next year purchase for me.

Currently building a bike fund for a used tri-bike. Right now I am riding:

MTB - Nishiki 18 speed that I have had for seven or eight years (bought it used in university) that I just upgraded to clipless pedals this summer.

Road - Sonoma Troiseme Etage - purchased new in 2004 to find out if I like road bikes and triathlons. Will be adding aerobars and clipless pedals.

ah, i love bike roll call! we currently have 11 bikes under our roof! damn, does that make my heart happy! this year i trained and raced on my dad's old road bike. just got a new road bike which i will race and train on for next year. am planning on trying out aero bars to see how they feel. so, here is our current inventory:

road: me - bianchi velope (2000) & miyata three ten (1980s); bill - rivendell redwood (2004 - just got it yesterday!)

mtb: me - bianchi denali (1994); bill - bridgestone mb3 (i think, or mb2, early 90s)

misc: me - gary fisher el fresco hybrid (1996?) & motobacane mirage (1975?) soon-to-be single speed; bill - raleigh super course (80s?) single speed; ella - raleigh lil' honey

we also have a trek mountain bike that belongs to a friend of mine as well as another frame that was previously used by bill as a single speed commuter until he stripped out the bottom bracket.

btw, we store all these bikes in the garage, in case anyone wants to steal any of them. however, we are making plans to turn part of our unfinished basement into a bike repair, storage, and wind trainer area.

My bikes:

(L-R):Kona Jake the Snake (cyclocross, light MTB trails, road, tri), Fisher hardtail with almost all of the components switched out & upgraded over time, and a Santa Cruz Bullit for gnarly trails and downhilling. Hoping to get the Bullit out more this winter and hit some of the gnarlier Tucson trails.

Here's the Bullit in action (weeee!!!):

Current fully functional bikes in the house.

1. 1998 GT Course road bike being pressed into service for tri's 853 frame full ultegra, upgraded wheels clip-on aerobars

2. 2001 Trek Fuel 90 MTB, my first foray onto full suspension

3. The worlds only Acme Genuis (Wile E. Coyote signature model) fixed gear road bike. Actually started life as a 1977 Trek

4. The world's pimpinest Giant Iguana converted to 8-spd, XT rear der. Blue Rolf wheels.

There is probably 1.5- 2 other bikes worth of parts and crap laying about here and there, a couple of frames and a myriad of parts

I love it. It's a great training tool because you are ALWAYS in the wrong gear. I'm running a 42x16. It makes you pay attention all the time too. I did 25 miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway on it Sunday and it was a major workout. That's about 2000 feet of climbing. I just wish they made drop bars wider than 46cm so I could get more leverage on the climbs. Yeah, I'm probably nuts too.

the drop bars on my hubby's new rivendell are huge. he said it felt like he was driving a bus on his first test ride last night. i'll check and see what they are. i'm too lazy and enjoy coasting too much to think about getting a fixed gear. just converting to single speed-dom will be a major change for me. did i mention that my husband did a 50 mile single speed ride, some of which he was pulling the kids in the burley? ugh.
