How many people who did Lake Placid are still planning to do more tris this season? I just can't accept that my tri season is over and it's only Aug. 1st but if I take the requisite time off I really won't have much time to train for another race unless it's really late in Sept. What races/distances are you planning?

Chris

I have one more Triathlon planned for this season.

It is an Olympic Distance race that I do every year out of Tradition. It falls on or about my Birthday and this will be my 4th year of running it. (This was my first Triathlon 4 years ago on my 38th Birthday)

I am already mentally shifting over to Winter Marathon Training and although the Triathlon is technically an "A" race, I will probably train right through it. (Marathon Training that is)

My goal is to get to Boston next year

There are plenty of Fall races, especially if you want to go the running route.  Why not try for a late Fall marathon or half mary.??

Doesn't make sense to me to call it a year in July personally ......

I'm planning to do one more tri in early Sept.  Still, I'm just building back into training and will take it slowly for at least another week after this one (gradually adding frequency while keeping intensity and duration low).  I don't expect to get much "full-time" training before the race, but I'm not about to rush anything and end up burned-out or injured.  I'll rest more if I need it.

Sign up for some smaller races and just go out and have fun. Last year, at the end of my season, I entered some 5 and 10K's at the last minute and just coasted on my fitness. I ended up with PR's in some races and in others I just took my time and enjoyed the day.
