Comments:

Run started good with the race belt falling apart as I put it on, doh. Got it back together and settled into a decent pace. Got passed by quite a few people as usual but felt comfortable the entire way. Have done this run course about 6 times so I knew exactly where I could pic up the pace for a final kick. Once I hit the grass I came up on a guy in my age group slowly passed him on the right then left him in the dust. AT the pavement with maybe 100yds to go pulled alongside antoher guy and we kicked stride for stride to the finish with me edging it out. According to my Garmin hit my fastest pace ever at 4:41/mile :)
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a bit grabbed a drink and muffin.
Scored a nice bike messenger bag at the post race raffle :)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Good to meet you post-race (with my buddy enginerd). I just signed up on BT.

What's next for you? I'm thinking of Treasure Island Oly in Nov. Already signed up for Calif Int'l half-Ironman in Oceanside in March... that'll be a challenge, but it'll fear me into training harder.

How do you like your Desoto 2 piece? I'm looking to get it ASAP.
