Run
Comments: Somehow I got in the pack at the front so when they all went off like a shot so did I. I kept that silly pace up for about a mile and then slowed down to something more manageable. I think I only got passed by about half a dozen people. So I was quite pleased there. Overall 38 th I have to be pretty pleased with that What would you do differently?: Nothing I was out to enjoy myself !?! I probably shouldn't have gone off so fast. Post race
Warm down: A quick stretch to take my chip off and a walk over to the food stand. What limited your ability to perform faster: The slippery wet ground. I think I prefer to run on more solid surfaces. Event comments: Race was about 10 minutes late getting started ( by my watch anyway). Start line was not well sign posted. Course wasn't all that clear to follow. We were led around by a guy on a mountaiin bike. But It was fun. Last updated: 2004-10-25 12:00 AM

It's a 1 hour 15 min drive to pick up my brother in law and then another 20 mins to the race site.
It was a good long walk from the parking lot to the registration station to pick up t shirts and numbers. Then back to the car to drop them off. then a walk over to the start line which we found eventually.
