Subject: New to the site and addicted to triathlons!!
Hey there....
New to the site, but thought I'd finally say hey...I have been training for triathlons since April. I am 37 and very competitive and athletic. Have been running long distances and biking for years, but not a swimmer. A friend told me I should really try competing in a triathlon and challenge myself a little. Did my first tri in June and am completely hooked. Took 29th out of 131 women for my first race. Much room for improvement, but I have been having a blast. Hoping to meet some great people here and get some good advice and learn a lot before the Tri season starts next year. I'm a huge Packer and Badger fan. Still trying to pick myself up from the loss to the Bears last night Anyway just wanted to say Hi!

Welcome to the crazy bus, amy jo! Congrats on a great finish in your first triathlon. Yes, triathlons are like an addiction, except they are harder to break and more expensive.

Hey Amy,

  I got the addiction too!  I could not believe the Pack lost last night.  I was kinda in and out of consciousness from doing the marathon.  So I figured Brett easily had it in the bag.  I woke up the next morning to find out they lost.  What happened to the Badgers against Illinois?  It was a bizarre week.  Nothing went as planned.  Oh well, get on with it.

Oh yea,  I am also addicted/obsessed/all I can think about a big triathlon buff.  Pretty cool stuff.

Well, heck...why not just throw the loss to the Illini out there, too, and make the rest of us WI sports fans wallow even deeper in our misery.
