Pro 6582 Melbourne FL | Subject: Mozilla Firefox Blog issue Hey Ron/Mike, I recently switched over to Firefox and noticed an issue. When I blog an Inspire, the small blog window opens with the blog and also opens a new tab for the persons log (see pix). With IE the persons log will open in a new IE window not in the blog window. Is there a setting on Firefox to change this that you know of, I haven't noticed anything yet. It sure is a PITA to review their logs in the little window that is not size adjustable! |

Champion 11641 Fairport, NY | Subject: RE: Mozilla Firefox Blog issue It's the default behavior for FireFox and yeah, it's annoying. When replying to an Inspire Me! in your blog, you have the option of replying in your blog by clicking the button, or in the original senders blog by clicking the button. When choosing the latter option, a new window opens up to the other persons blog so you can read it before posting something. The problem with FireFox 2.0, is that when you click the button, it opens up the other persons new blog in a tab in the Inspire Me window. Not particularly useful, and annoying as all get out. There is a remedy though. Go to Tools->Options->Tabs Problem solved.

Pro 6582 Melbourne FL | Subject: RE: Mozilla Firefox Blog issue You da man Marmadaddy! Thanks, I missed that option when I was going through things... Oh, on the Blog deal. How about having a "blog to today's date" method. I often will blog an inspire the next day or even of couple of days afterwards, and have to manually copy the inspire to the current date and post it there. Pretty helpful to have your blog noticed by some BT'ers that seem to have 10-30 inspires per day! Just a thought from a non-SW guy! |

Not only will this fix the annoying small Firefox window problem I have too...but I also agree with the "blog to today's date" button! That would be SO GREAT! |

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: Mozilla Firefox Blog issue x3! The 'Reply' and 'Blog' buttons seem redundant... If I hit the 'Reply' button, it posts a reply in my own inspire box. The sender of the original inspire will never know that you replied, unless they check YOUR inspire box. I've had someone reply to my inspire and never knew that they did until I checked their OLD inspires. Does anyone really use the 'Reply' button? Agree on the 'Blog' button. I've replied to an inspire a few days later, and realized the person being inspired probably never saw the inspire. I think most people don't think about going back and checking old inspire boxes...for what it's worth... With that said...gotta say...this is THE BEST |

Just today, someone added an inspire to my Sunday inspire to them - so, it ended up on my inspire - i just happened to notice it - I did use the reply when i got some of my first inspires and I thought I was doing something wrong - I ended up 'inspiring' someone to find out how to reply in their blog

With that said...gotta say...this is THE BEST This is something we'll work on next year when we start getting more into the pure social features. I'm thinking some kind of list of Inspire notifications and an indicator if it's been read or replied to. And for the record: Matt is the programmer extraordinairre who created MegaBBS that BT is built on top of and who is responsible for coding most of the site. I'm just the doofus in front of the curtain who does some coding, forum wrangling, customer support etc. Think of me as the guy in the paper hat saying "Would you like Gatorade with that?". |

When I first started using BT, I found the blog and reply buttons confusing. I'd hit reply, and it would reply to my own blog, rather than the original poster's. Now, I know better. But I still see a lot of misdirected replies in people's blogs - and these are replies that the original poster may never see. And I would absolutely love a "blog to today's date" button that posts a response to the CURRENT day. This would keep me from missing peoples' inspires, because they were back a few days in my log. THANK YOU for BT. It's an awesome site. Dee Edited by D001 2007-11-13 7:35 PM |

If I hit the 'blog' option and actually let the blog load in the new tab, Firefox stops responding to my mouse clicks. I can't follow links, change tabs, etc. I think it has something to do with when the java exercise tracker applet loads, because if that hasn't loaded this doesn't occur. Is anyone else having this issue? |
