  • Comments: Last year this was the race with the epic fail by the timing company. they moved the race (I like the locations about the same, but SBL is closer and the swim start is much much better) and hired a new timing company. I felt like it ran smooth and was happy with everything considering how they had to adjust to a not perfect transition area and screwed up beach because of the water level in WBL. Well done, Tri Fitness. I'll be back :)

  • Comments: Good overall race for my first tri. Pros I liked the course length and difficulty. The bike course had good traffic control. Run was totally flat. Good volunteers and even some fans out on the bike course to root you on. Cons Bike course was often rough and not all that comfortable. Cold water temps (to be expected in Sept in MN). No T1 split time for some reason.

  • Comments: Race organizer needs to consider turning this over to some professionals - my wife had to help direct traffic in the parking lot so that the race director could get to the starting area. There were not enough life guards. The timing was botched - they gave the trophy to the wrong woman. I enjoyed the course and the people but am really hesitant to try this again unless some changes are made.

  • Comments: The timing thing was kinda a bummer - I hope I get a time - it was my AG i think they were having troubles with as they had all the other AGs posted... The announcer, IMO, was awesome - he commented on everyone at the finish and was funny! Great work, buddy. Other than the water being FREEZING, it's a great late season race and if it weren't for the timing I'd totally do it again... but next year, I'm going to be leary of it - racing is fun, but i do want to know my times/placing... I rated it a 3 because of the timing issues and because they seemed a little disorganized.

  • Comments: Some day I will compete in a triathlon and it won't be raining/misting. So far I'm 0/2. I'm looking forward to racing in the sun!! I'm hooked!!

  • Comments: They could have used some more volunteers on the bike course, especially the first major turn off the main road. There was one small sign that could easily have been missed. Run course was a bit too much weedy trail for my liking, but seemed to be marked pretty well. Course was very pretty however, with the fall colors just starting to show. Everyone was very friendly and it was a laid back race. Great way to end the Tri season in MN! Will probably be back next year.

  • Comments: Very well done race. Will do again. Was happy with my performance wanted to come in around 1hr 30 minutes and did much better than that.

  • Comments: Tri Fitness sponsored race. About 100 people at the race which was a great size.The transition area was a little small so people had bikes all over the place (on the orange fencing, etc) which made for some heroics getting into and out of the t-area.
