  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Really like this event both for beginner friendliness plus overall - it's short so welcoming to newbies but still challenging for those who want to go faster. I volunteered at the newbie clinics this year and the race organizers are just awesome.

  • Comments: Decent little race, but could use a few things before it would be more highly rated. Race started late and then everyone seemed rushed (with a number of people complaining about getting the wrong cap, etc.) and the bike course was pretty rough. Nice transition venue however and volunteers seemed very willing to help. Nice finisher medal and packet pickup the previous day was very smooth.

  • Comments: Only one drink station a little before halfway on the run. Probably because it was only a 2 mile run. After i blew a tire, a support van came by to help... turns out the guy didn't know how to change a tire. Said he would call for a bike mechanic to come around and help... b ut ended up asking a runner passing by for help. She helped me change the tire and re-mount it in 15 minutes while the bike mechanic still didn't show up...

  • Comments: Good, local race for all levels. Comfortable for beginners. But a challenging course too. Beneficial local fundraising event too.

  • Comments: This was a good first race because it was small and well organized. The people were friendly and I didn't feel a lot of pressure or feel like I was being judged. There were definitely people of all abilities there. The course was harder than I expected.

  • Comments: I finished at about 90 minutes... there were 40-50 people more after me, in a field of 190, and they had completely run out of drinks at the finish line before I even got there. That's not cool. No drinks on the course, no drinks at the finish line, only goody in the packet was a t shirt... altered run route on race day that didn't match the map in the packet (that was handed out an hour before race time)... pretty much zero frills. I don't think water at the finish line is a lot to ask for. Started late, maybe 20 minutes, and the swim waves were way too big for the short course. The women especially had a lot of problems.

  • Comments: This was my first Sprint Triathlon, and this event caters very well to beginners. While there are quite a few serious triathletes there are a much larger number of first timers. Organisers made the even very comfortable for beginners and lots of spectators along the routes yelling encouragement. I would definately put this even in my yearly schedule. LOTS OF FUN!
