  • Comments: All things considered, the race was great. The course was well marked and the race director definitely made the right call cancelling the Olympic distance. I will do this race again. Everything was well organized and fun!

  • Comments: I thought PlayTri did a good job as it was an easy first race with regards to logistics and getting the "feel" for an event. Lots of folks were there to help out and answer stupid questions (no such thing as a stupid question....). It was fun and I had a great time and I am looking forward to my next event in two weeks time.

  • Comments: Good race to kick off the season. Great course with enough hills to challenge. Organizers made the right call as the skies opened just as I was leaving.

  • Comments: They do a good job, too bad the weather forced a change but that distance is fun to race. Is it considered sandbagging if I sign up for a mini again?

  • Comments: Nice little fun race. I'm not sure why I saw no powerade on the course, but they did have it for post-race? Requisite bananas and oranges were available, though I find hummus an odd choice for post-race food, even though I like it. But the important stuff was all taken care of - the aid station was well-placed and manned, I like the post-race setup, and the course is easy to follow and was well-controlled at intersections. Good swim course, I'd like an extra bouy on the way back in though. Overall I'd definitely do again.

  • Comments: Overall a good race. It seem every time I have a triathlon the weather turns cold just before. I will try to keep that in mind when I am suffering at Branson in September. I need to HTFU about the weather

  • Comments: Finishing medal awarded at other races, hot pizza, bottles of powerade were available as well. Cold snacks were appreciated, just sub-par from 2 other races I had done.

  • Comments: SUMMARY Considering my lack of preparation for this race and the health issues, I feel pretty good about my performance. I hit or exceeded my time targets in each area. I did not crash my bike. I finished strong. I am really loving both my Newton running shoes and my KiWAMi Trinergy triathlon suit. The Orca Apex 2 wetsuit added a lot of buoancy to the swim and definitely kept me warm. I felt that the arms were a bit restrictive, perhaps because it was so tight. Hopefully it just needs to be broken in.
