  • Comments: Good race, scary downhill, bikers going 40 mph or faster, accross a cattle gaurd, could have some real trouble, there should be a not pass zone for 50 yrds before the cattle gaurd.

  • Comments: Had the swim course been reversed, it could have been run. We arrived 1.5 hours before race time, but I helped 3 women pump up their tires, so I did not have sufficient time to prepare. Because I was treating this as a training day, not a serious race, I took my time in transitions.

  • Comments: This was the best of my 3 tris. I did this same course in September, and I was 13:24 faster this time. Set PR in swim and bike. Swam with a wetsuit for the first time and absolutely loved it. I was concerned about feeling claustrophobic, etc., but had no issues at all.

  • Comments: Great race. Very well organized with BBSC taking over. Swim waves ran on time which was a huge bonus. Transition area was nicely set up. Very professional. Probably the most well run of any race I've been involved. Great grab bag. Good shirt. Big crowd. Not sure I will do it again because the trail run in that sand is just sick and the long drive. Maybe if I do the Oly and go with others. Considering I'd had the nagging injuries leading up, the terrible gut cramping and the inconsistent training I was good with my results. Basically similar times to last year without having to expend the same level of effort and without near the training. But more importantly I had a good time.

  • Comments: Very sad to hear that someone died during the swim. http://www.christophereborn.com/ Everyone should take their parents to a tri - bring the motor home too! Great to have one's own "piddleatorium" Train more for next time...

  • Comments: This race is close to being amazing -- especially if you like a challenging course. Unfortunately what held organizers back were the number of volunteers. This really hurt the swim wave. Parking was also a hassle but not much you can do there. Not quite as organized as Utah Tri races (I think it is great how they call out finisher names as they cross the finish) but still good. There were a lot of participants and spectators. Since the race is getting some national recognition hopefully it will continue to improve and I overheard people saying this race was an improvement over last year. A lot of people didn't like the trail run but I thought it was a great challenge. I understand it is not a part of USG next month however. The bike is also a good challenging ride. Nice finisher medal for everyone and the long-sleeve breathable T shirt is great with pin stripes on the sleeve and a killer logo (that I didn't know if I liked at first but ends up looking very cool). Good race. Just
