  • Comments: I just wish it was warmer. I had alotttttttt of fun my goal was to finish below 1:30min and I did it and I learnt alot about transitions and will work on them. I have 6 more tri`s to go and maybe an oymplic one at the end of the year. BUT I am HOOKED in Tri`s and I am a Triathlete officaily now lol

  • Comments: A great way to start the season, good mental effort in less than ideal conditions and finally my run did not let me down.

  • Comments: great race- I dont have anything to compare it too but they did a great job. Well marked course. Plenty of volunteers. Nice that they do awards throught the time so the fast people dont have to sit around for 5 hours!

  • Comments: Set Up Events did an awesome job of organizing this race. There were tons of volunteers and plenty of people on the course to direct everyone. I really enjoyed the course and I could definitely see myself coming back again!

  • Comments: I'd love to do this race again, but they're talking about switching it with MAP ... and I'm not sure that won't be just too early for me. :( It was a fabulous first triathlon experience!

  • Comments: Since there was a last minute change on the run and bike courses I had no solid time goal in mind. Never raced on a flat course so had two generic goals of finishing in the top half overall and top half of my age group. Accomplished goal one with a 177 place finish of 345. Second goal was missed. Placed 24 of 37 in my age group. I need the two minutes on the run. This was a good race for my second tri. Got things to work on for White Lake.

  • Comments: I had hoped in January when I signed up for this race to just finish. About a month ago I changed that goal to - finish in under 2 hours. After Hillsborough two weeks ago I decided 1h 45m was my goal. I did it in 1h 25m and I felt SLOW...I know I have a ton of work ahead of me and I'm ready for it! This isn't going to be easy because now I don't have the luxury of NOT really knowing where I'm the worst. It's clear. Run....I have the ability to work on it and definitely make up time. It's hard to remember that not everyone just started this training thing recently - most of these people are really good. So the competitive part of me is struggling with my lack of being "GOOD" at any of it. I want it all to come overnight and it's just not going to happen like that. Patience Grasshopper, Patience. This I understand...so, my goals are constantly changing - I have a lot - and on the top of the list is to get my mile under 10 minutes and soon....All in all - second race....first true

  • Comments: The post race activities were pretty minimal. One item of note: I dropped the SDM portion of my Timex at some point on the bike. I thought it was gone. at the end of the race, I walked up to the RD with faint hope. SOMEONE had turned it in!!! Thanks who ever you are. I'll update the specific times as soon as they are posted.

  • Comments: This was a good first race course wise. I wasn't quite ready to race and actually just decided to do the race after the date change. It did show me that if I don't want to feel sad with my results etc, then I need to train harder. I enjoyed it and now know what I need to work on and my new goal is about 11 minutes faster than I did this race. 7 minutes on nike, 2 1/2 on the run, and 1 minute on the swim and 30 seconds or so on transition
