  • Comments: Good race with lots of support, but the post-race seemed a bit lack-luster. Timing and setup were fine, I'm not a huge fan of the distance between the swim finish and transition area. I wish there was a means of using the museum parking lot as transition, it would just make more sense to me. Overall, though, these are minor concerns. Good race.

  • Comments: There was a young kid flagging the right turn into the park from Greesprings Road, he was not doing a good job getting people to make the hard right. Several people in front of me oveshot the turn.

  • Comments: Overall... great "level" of difficulty. I was one of the LAST ones to finish! Triathletes are super intense and there don't seem to be many recreational participants... but when I crossed the finish line the whole beer crew yelled and cheered. It was cute!

  • Comments: I like the venue, but the weather dealt us a bum hand. I really wanted the swim to happen, but with the lightning still going on, I think the right decision was made. I do think if the race continues to put the sprint and the International on the same course, they need to work on the turn arounds and such for the two. There were a couple of close calls that should not have happened. The top guys being taken the wrong way by the motorcycle was not cool, and how it was subsequently handled was not cool either.

  • Comments: I was disappointed with the swim being canceled but there was lightning still coming down over the water and the right call. There were a few mistakes by the race organizers throughout the day but there was a lot going on with the damage from the storm the night before, the storm going on right before and such. With that, taking the 10 lead riders off course was not cool and how it was handled after was not the best. Also the penalties given to International riders who got stuck when coming down the bridge and having to mix with sprint rides who just made their U-turn. Having the two distances at the same time was not the best call.

  • Comments: Great race. Even with all of the weather issues. Courses were well marked with lots of volunteers and police. Really enjoyed this race and will keep it on the schedule.
