Hello Fellow Cyclists,

I am looking for a site, much like trifind.com, that would be utilized for finding bike rides around the US. I want to do a century or two this summer but cannot seem to find any info on any.

Thanks a lot!

Local clubs often run events so you could try contacting them.

Here in the UK we have rides that are called Sportives, which are all listed on an official website.  I'm pretty sure you have similar things in the US (or they may be called Grand Fondos) so you could try Googling that.

http://www.bikereg.com is the biggest one I know of.

There are a few events on http://www.pre-reg.com as well

Not sure about the rest of the US but everything here on the east coast runs through bikereg.

Though one thing I noticed last year is that races aren't posted nearly as early as tri's are.  Most races won't get listed until summer starts.

bikereg.com is a good resource for races, but less exhaustive when it comes to organized rides.    I find that (in my area anyway), many of the large organized recreational rides advertise through www.active.com rather than bikereg.

Another good resource is your local bike shops. Many offer their own centuries or metric centuries that may not be listed on any of the major online registration sites.

oops, my bad, I saw that and immediately thought races...

yeah bikereg probably won't have many centuries or group rides listed.

Actually a good resource can also be the state forums here on BT.  If you ask people probably know what most of the group rides are.

Kim, I love the track pictures, I really want to get on a track sometime this year.  Unfortunately nothing in the DC area, need to drive to PA I think.

The Cycling BC road calendar lists the sanctioned races in Washington and Oregon as a lot of BC cyclists travel to those races.

It's not up yet though.

Now that I have had a few days to think about where I go when looking for group rides.

As was stated earlier look at local bike groups.

here in DC we have Potomac Peddlers and a few other groups, they aren't teams but groups that get together to ride.

Here is one from Maryland, they list all the centuries and group rides in the area.  There is probably someting similar in your area.

Oh yeah,

I've used the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association to successfully find Group Rides in Portland.

http://www.bikeride.com/calendar/events.asp is decent for non-race rides and centuries.
