Subject: Interested in a May MS Challenge?

Right now at least 4 Team SE April participants are interested in doing this again for May (DRM, trimossy, Mike 45, mattajw).

Anyone else want to do another MS challenge in May?

Don

I would be interested in joining a team and not being a captain.

I wasn't in the April MS challenge, but I'm up for a May challenge!  Don't know how you divided last time, but I'm in Ohio, Big Ten, Midwest (that should cover everything!)

I am interested in a MS challenge for May.  I have my first tri May 21, so I am not sure how that will play into it.  I'll look at the miles and yards and come up with a goal.

I'm in. Marathon recovery means I probably won't be doing a ton of running which means that I should have plenty of time to ride my bike and continue my 30000 yard swim months.

I have 5K Open Water nationals June 2nd, so my focus is on swimming, but I have to do some bike/run too as my first tri is June 11th.

Hey All,

Looks like there are about 14 people interested in doing this for May.  Instead of teams I could just make one spreadsheet and use it to track everyones goals.  I'll do the logging and posting of it if no one else wants to.  I could separate us into regional groups, say something along the lines of North & South or East & West just to give it an 'use against them' flavor!

I'll call it 5 weeks for the challenge ending Wed May 31st.

For those interested in participating, if you haven't done so yet please post your May goals for me to add to the spreadsheet.

For fun we could make up a signature line for those that don't achieve their goals...any poets here!

My May goals are: Swim - 15000 yards ; Bike - 620 minutes ; Run - 365 minutes.  I need to be good as this includes a taper for my June 4th race.  Lots of work the first 3 weeks.

Yup your crazy!  Seriously, the spreadsheet is not setup for points.  Distance (miles, km, yards, meters) or time (minutes) only.   Each sport can have a separate goal (distance or time). e.g. Swim 20k meters, Run 50 miles, Bike 800 minutes.

O.K., I need to redeem myself from last month's challenge (sorry Team Northeast).  Little more emphasis on run, less on bike until the marathon's over:

Swim: 10,250 yds
Bike: 90 miles
Run: 100 miles

Hey I fixed it, after I saw that miles were what others were posting.  I still think I am crazy.  Not sure where I am going to get the time to do all that.  But hey, I'll be in the best shape I have been in for 15 years, maybe even 20 years.
