I've been lucky (or unlucky) enough to be there for this 2 out of the last 3 years. Not making it today though. I don't know why but I do enjoy watching this.

A Sudden Dog Off.

By the time, Chesnut and Kobayashi were done, they had consumed about 19,600 calories and 1,280 grams of fat, according to an analysis by diet and nutrition Web site CalorieLab. "In a matter of minutes, they will consume more than a week's worth of calories, seven times the recommended daily limit for cholesterol, 20 times the daily limit for total fat, 25 times the limit for saturated fat, and two and a half weeks worth of sodium," said Susan McQuillan, a New York registered dietitian.

Seemed to me like they justed handed it to Joey.  He was still shoveling it in after the regulation time ended.  He did win the tiebreak though.  I can't believe I made it through the pre-game...

I managed to miss most of the pre-game.  I love that it's an hour long thing for 10 minutes of eating.

Not quite sure about the end of regulation thing.  They were both still eating after the timer.  I think they can finish the one they are on, but it has to be all of it.  Not sure, though.

ya i love the nice snot ball hanging down Kobyashi's nose at the end of regulation.....very attractive.

the commentary is awesome though.   if you closed your eyes you would think you were listening to the Super Bowl or a championship boxing match.
