Subject: Triathlon Racing Shoes - What does BT wear?
Looking to buy a pair of running shoes for race day.  I like the Zoot Ultra Race but they're pretty expensive.  I do mostly Oly's.  Right now I run in racing flats but want to eliminate the shoe tying time in transition.  Suggestions?

Zoot Ultra TT (because the Zoot site did not have the race available, and that is where I get my team discount through).  No socks.

Before that I used Saucony Fastwitch II Speed with speed lace thingys.  I still use those for running events.

I only use for the Races the Zoot Ultra Race...the Zoot comes with its own speed laces...and...for training ASICS GT-2130 and 2110...with Lock Laces or Yanks Laces...

Some kind of elastic laces in your racing flats is the cheapest and best option.  My racing shoes (Asics Gel-Bandito) weigh 7.9 ounces vs my trainers at 11.9 ounces.  4 ounces per step is significant at 80-90 per minute.  It's gotta make a difference.

Pearl Izumi Streak, without socks and Newton Gravity. Looking at some of those new Nike Lunar shoes strictly for road races.

I wear Brooks T5's.  I have Yankz on them so no shoe tying involved.
