Are you excited to go to the sprint distance? Well I've never really been an athletic person let alone participate in events such as this so I'm always a bit nervous - praying my body doesn't let me down!! But I find there's a rush you get afterwards -- a sense of accomplishment that can be addictive -- and it only seems to come with continually pushing yourself into doing something new and taking hold of that fear and using it to my advantage. But ya - being the planner-type - I also like knowing what I'm entering in to : ) I plan to participate in Toronto Island sprint this summer. I did the try-a-tri last year and had a wonderful experience. The water was warm, clear and calm and I actually did better than I thought I would (compared to stormy waves, rocky shores in the Niagara try-a-tri ). Stay calm and go at your own pace and you'll do fine (it wasn't all that deep which is nice to know while swimming it ) Keep in touch and let me know how it goes!
