It's June (already?) time for the NBA finals.

Those first time Mavericks led by the King Maverick, Mark Cuban.

Or the Heat with Dwayne, the Big Aristotle and Pat (I'll be the head coach) Riley.

Generally I agree, but this year's playoff games have been awesome. The Spurs/Mavs series was great from start to finish.

Mavs in 6.

It used to be impossible to tear myself away from the tv during the NBA playoffs.  Now I'd rather be:

running, playing with my kids, cleaning the garage, biking, figuring out what to eat next, watering the lawn, napping with my infant son, swimming, driving the route I ran to see how far it is, at the neighbors having a drink, boating, registering for a tri online, figuring out what to eat next, grocery shopping for more gels/bars, scouring the internet for a cheap wetsuit, going for a walk with the family, doing laundry and watching the kids so my wife can go for a run, looking at bike porn, cleaning up the basement, remodeling the baby's room, taking a shower which I seem to do twice a day and figuring out what to eat next.

Having said all of that I guess I'd vote for the Mavs just because I'd like to see Mark Cuban's enthusiasm and investment in his team pay off.  All of the major leagues could use more owners like him (said the lifelong Cubs fan).

NBA=Not Basketball Anyway

There should be a law requiring basketball and hockey to be finished by the time 2/3 of the country is above 70 degrees. Basketball and hockey in June is just ridiculous.

Are you kidding? Ever since high school kids and kids with 1-2 years of college experience started going to the NBA, the college game has been terrible.

March Madness is still more enjoyable than the NBA playoffs will ever be, regardless of the NBA exodus.

It is hard to watch the first 3/4 of a pro game and by the time the last 1/4 comes on I'm well into my triathlon dreams. That being said, as a Knick fan I hate the Heat (and Pat Riley) seems the Mavs are the lessor of two evils tho I hate thier owner too. Prolly won't watch much anyway.As to hockey, does anyone besides our friends to the North really care?

Mavs in 5!

And I partly agree. I only watch the Mavs play. Don't really care for other games. It's such a different game that the Mavs play. It's enjoyable to watch when they're on.
