Subject: RE: Couple of questions....Mountain biking, even on flat, paved, roads is harder (per mile ) than "cycling" (heavier bike, more rolling resistance, more wind resistance ), so count it as biking.
As for helmets...have you priced replacement heads/brains? Pretty expensive, and a helmet is a pretty easy way to reduce the odds of a catestrophic event. In our house, helmets are required for bicycles and rollerblades (first infraction is a week w/o, second infraction is the rest of the season ). Most youth groups require helmets for riding a horse or rock climbing (as well as bicycling ). This one has to go to DH.
Husbands take note, in at least one instance, one of us was right!! It is possible! |
