Subject: New Forums Layout
While I understand ads are required to help keep this site running (I too own a forum that has ads on it) I have to say I'm not a fan of the new layout.  It makes the text of the forums too compressed.  My two cents...

ETA: Maybe if the forum column would expand to fit the browser window width it would not be as bad.  Right now I have a LOT of extra space on either side that is going to waste.

No ads if you're a paid member...

Mine lapsed recently and I do notice the difference, but it's way better than it was before the most recent upgrade.

Ah.. my membership lapsed this AM, procrastinated and renewed but it must not have gotten switched back on yet.

Kind of wondered why no one else was commenting.  Thanks

Never mind.. move along...nothing to see here..(sheepishly slinks away)

I don't mind the ads, because I'm cheap, but not easy.

I hope you don't mind if I pad my post here.

You know what I would love?  A way to get back the forum once you hit the bottom of the page.  Sometimes, when reading long posts, you hit the bottom of the page, and have to scroll all the way back to the top to get back to the main forum.  Or you have to scroll through the little selector to pick the forum you want.

Is there a better way? Or am I missing something?

I know you can hit the "Back" button on the browser, but you may miss something that's been updated, lol.

You could use Jump to Forum. Less scrolling, but more clicking. Don't know which you care about more.

x2 (or 3!) I also always look for the headers, or whatever they're called (Other Resources-> My Cup of Joe <--that part) at the bottom because it seems like it should be there, but it's not.

That would be a really great feature.  I always go back to the top of the page to look for the forum links.
