Well looks like they are changing the bike course.  Any guesses.

I'm thinking farther our 5&20 and turn south and horse around and return on East Lake Rd.

Who's up with this?

I saw that, looks like it might be a bit flatter, but I probably need to ride or drive to see for sure!

Please let me know if you do drive/ride it.  I don't think I'll have a chance to do either before the race.

Its got about 10 less of climbing. About .3mile less distance.  Y did it last night.  She reported its all uphill for 7 miles than 6 mile downhill.

Dexters and Y's assesment is about right on the 7 miles of up hill to start.  Here is what I wrote on my workout log this morning:

The new FL sprint course is a bit hillier than I expected, but it didn't help that the wind was blowing out of the southwest at about 10 - 12mph which gave a me a pretty good head wind on the flatter and down hill sections going back in.  I only have 2 real concerns and the first is going further east on 5 and 20 mean more miles dealing with the traffic and the broken glass on the shoulders.  The shoulders are nice and wide, if only they would get cleaned up some.  My other concern is the down hill onto East Lake Rd where both the Oly and Sprint people will be flying down and having to almost stop at the bottom to make the turn. We'll see how that goes, but I can see a wreck or 3 at that corner.

One thing I will add is that most if not all is smooth and without much, if any potholes or broken roads.

Check out the entire course for a big change on transition site.  Looks like they have made the run form the swim even longer.

Watch out for the pot hole on Lakeshore drive just after you turn out of the college.  I think it is front of the Twin Birch Hotel.

Its on the north side.  of the road so we may not even have to deal with it.

Anyone else hear about the triathlete hit by a car at CR18 and Rt 247?  Article in the paper on it today, but doesn't say why the driver of the truck wasn't ticketed?  That intersection was difficult during the race!

Does anyone know what caused the three relay teams to be DQ'd?
