Hello Gang!

Just want to introduce myself and say hello. My first tri will be at the High Falls park on 8/21 in Jackson, GA. Sounds like we have a lot of Georgians here but not many tri-ing this one. Any word of advice from those who have completed it? Will probably do the PTC one next year also.

BTW- I am in need of a 54cm road bike. Any fellow Atlantans out there have one/know of one for sale?

Thanks,
tribesman

Welcome Tony.

Visit www.tri-atlanta.org for more information on the Atlanta tri scene. I just started training 6 weeks ago and I am also considering the Jackson event. There are surprisingly quite a few Atlantan's here on this forum.

Gest wishes and good luck.

Hi Tony:

Glad to see that Georgia is really representing here!

The High Falls race looks like a really good tri to get your feet wet.
I didn't realize how close it was to the Atlanta area either, extra bonus.
I always heard the Tri-the-Parks series are really good races to get involved in, well organized and novice friendly.

hope to hear more from you!

Karl,

You should really do the Jackson tri (High Falls). I spoke with a lady at All3Sports (tri store in North Atlanta) and she said everyone is really positive and pumped........also, really novice friendly. I have a co-worker doing this one too and did it last year. Had a great time he said!

Keep tri-ing!

I was just in that store today. What a cool place. They have lots of carbon goodies. I will look into the Jackson event tomorrow.

Thanks.
