Best of luck. The course is beautiful. You will have probably mid to high 60s for the water temp in August. I hope the wind is minimal on the bike course unless it is a tail wind the whole time

Hey Aleks,

Was that last year's temperature? That's crazy for that region. If that was from last year how did that compare to 2014? I'll prepare for the worst of course. Having done Branson and last year's Legend 70 will at least give me a taste of what could be....

Yes it was last year. Year before was moderate temp with wind.....

In for this one... so is my wife.. my 5th.. her 2nd. Just launched a 16 week plan this past Monday! It's been 4 years since I did an IM this August... so... lot's of work to do!

I was shooting for a 20 week plan but a couple cracked ribs in an off road duathlon has reduced mine to a 16 week program....Should be interesting

Peak water temp in July/August is typically mid 70's.

Was just out there on vacation in mid July. Water temps were at 69F. Looks like they have crept up over the last few weeks and now at 71F. This updates frequently.
