Subject: Best recovery foods/drinks after long races.I have a 70.3 coming up and am looking for recommendations on post race recovery nutrition. The longest races I've done to date are half marathons & olympic tris. I usually end up feeling pretty off for a few hours, not really hungry and with a headache. I'm hydrated/fueled during the race and guzzling electolyte drinks after but I seem to be missing something. I don't know how people can come right off the race and dive into the pizza, subs, candy, and races usually offer. The idea of eating makes me ill for at least 30-60 minutes after finishing.
Any tips on what to eat/drink would be appreciated! |
