Subject: RE: chicago - workout recommendations/ running ???Ditto what everyone else said, but, keep in mind, the EARLIER you can get on the path, the better, because it gets REALLY crowded. The lake at Oak Street is where all us "cool kids" hang out and train when it's warm out....I'm actually heading down there this afternoon after work. There are a couple of bike racks there where you can bring a back pack if you want and lock it up while you swim...or you can just bring what you need. But there are buoys (is that spelled right?) that are marked for the 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile therby equaling a 1/2 mile swim or a mile...lifeguards patrol along the wall, so that's always reassuring...
