Sign up here if you want to join the West Coast team in the Feb. run challenge!

So far we have:

PirateGirl
harmony
pigpen35

Hmm...we need a catchy team name too. Suggestions? The only one I've thought of is "Rocky Mountain Runner's High".

I don't really think of Colorado as West Coast but I like the idea for the team name. Can I join up with you?

I have never done one of these challenges but it sounds like additional motivation to reach my targets.

Sure you can join!

All you do is pick a distance or time goal of how far/long total you think you'll run for Feb. The cutoff for posting goals is 2/1/06. Then be sure to log all of your run workouts in your BT blog.

Estimation of the goal is important. You don't want to overestimate so much that it's nearly unobtainable, but you don't want one that's super easy (it's a challenge after all! ).

Good luck!

and by the way Colorado is way closer to the west coast than any place else... You are not THAT far east!

I'll post my goals shortly!

Great

My target for Feb is 490 minutes. A bit over a 20% increase from what I did in the first 28 days in January. Stetching but I believe doable.

Hopefully the pace will pick up too as the HR stays the same.

My goal is a nice, round 8 hrs (480 min). That will force me to stick to my training plan.

Hey, I'm in Hawaii but from Seattle! I have an 8.15 mile race near the end of Feb and need the motivation to get my runnin' butt in gear. I'd like to also do 480 minutes for February!

This may hurt, but if you'll have me, I'm in for 6h 30m.  I'm coming off a knee injury, so this is a little light, but I have to start somewhere!

Oh, and I'm good with Rocky Mountain Runner's High!

I'll join if you need more. I have a training plan which only covers part of Feb. But put me down for 750 min.

Thanks
