Okay you hard bodied athletes...and peby..*snicker* November is almost done, I think EVERYONE is doing an amazing job of maintaining their goal and working really hard.

Now, with the worst month of all approaching; December, with all it's cookies, turkey, egg nog, hockey games, drinking, cookies, never ending rain, cookies, busy schedules, cookies...I am looking for some challengies for the Challenge and some ideas to keep it interesting. 45 minutes a day? Abs / Core (damn cookies!), Spinin' til Santa comes?, Runnin' like Rudolph? Whatever you decide, I will be doing 45 minutes a day, every day. We are going away until the 10th but have a full compliment of workout equipment and will post our workouts when we can.

So who's in? Don't quit now, most of you are still ugly, but at least you're getting fit!

Am I ever in!

I'm going to Campbell River on the 19th-26th, then Vermont from the 27th to the 3rd.  I'll do my best to post my workouts, but I will probably just keep them to my log book until I get back on Jan. 3rd.

Gonna do some Hardcore X-country skiiing and some crazy  snizzzzzowboarding!

I'd be in but I don't think yoga counts. And that's all I do. ;-)
But then: I also do Pilates.

Edited to say: I'm getting a lot of company in December - so there will be many hikes.

I'm in.  I expect to be fully recovered from my back sprain by then and on my IMC training plan.  I'll talk to the coach about no rest days and See what she says.  Miranda is racing IMAZ this weekend and I suspect that if she has a PB swim then she will end up on the podium in the top 3 PRO's.

I think I could do 6 days a week, but not sure I can keep up with 7. I have a lot of work and family commitments in December. But I will try...

Mainly because I'm not hard-bodied yet...

(LOL, I typed that 'hot hard-bodied' at first. Wishful thinking... )

I probably won't want to stick to 7 days a week - no need for it in the off season. Are we all wanting to do the same type of challenge??

Yes and then there's me.

As for the Dec. challenge, don't forget that special day on the 25th. No excuses like you were too busy opening presents, or sampling egg nog, etc.

I'm going to gun for the following in December:

26 days of "real" exercise (strength/s/b/r) and whatever other walking I need to do.

24 days of good nutrition.  That's one day off per week and allowances for a bit of "holiday enjoyment."

I'm dreaming, but gunning for it anyhow.

Ok, so it looks as if we have some different ideas of what the challenge should be for December.

It's going to be a tough decision, but since tomorrow is December, I think it's high time we established some parameters.

From the sounds of it, 7 days a week is out, since that was the November challenge.  I think that is fair, since it most definitely is the off-season.

I personally, am in for the :45 a day challenge, since this is my first Winter of training and I am looking to improve significantly for the summer season.  After all my years of 50 weeks of training (swimming) and 2 weeks off a year, I am used to the year-round training regiment, and I'm LOVING it so far!

I think what we need, is to have everyone set out a specific goal for themselves, and put the goal in their Signature, so we can all creep on eachother and make sure we're keeping up!  I'm personally going to put my progress in the Signature.  Also, If it was posted here in this thread or a new one, that would also be adequate.

What does everyone think of that?

Our sigs could include:

"The British Columbia December Challenge:

45 Mins. Per day : [0/31]"

Any other ideas?

I think that's a great idea! Allows you to include everyone! Off to change my signature...

I have an Idea....

first person to post chooses the activity of the day....and if people have the ability to do that type of activity, they can get out there and do it...if not at least try...if you do not have the ability or thing in your are you can do a tri related sport...

for example...dec 1....hiking.....dec 2nd  x-country skiing.......so on and so forth.

So, do you actually have to have already done the activity or can you post your intentions?

Truthfully, I'm not going to be able to follow this one. I have a plan for every day and try to follow it pretty closely, but you guys all have fun with this.
