Hey, welcome to BT. Always good to see new faces around here! There's a lot of other great races around at nice venues (and when the weather will be warmer!) later on. Check out tribc.org if you want a calender with links to the other events.

If you're looking for tips on running, etc. check out The Running Room, there's a few around and they have group runs on Weds eve. and Sun mornings. Which part of BC you in?

Hopefully we'll get to see you at UBC.

Maple Ridge!
I know that I ride out there once in a blue moon.
I think they even have a triclub or 2.
Welcome again.

Hi and welcome to BT.  I ride my long rides around the Maple Ridge area.  My folks live out there so I make it an excuse to visit.  Come to think of it Sean Clarke and his wife Tara-Lee Marshall live out there too.  You know Tara-Lee, i'm sure as she won Ironman Florida and also won Ironman Switzerland.  Yes she is a Kiwi.  They have a coaching service so there will be no excuses for you if you intend on kicking some serious butt at the races.  see you at UBC.

Hi Becks,

We BC BTers are a rather large group and I've met quite a few people from this site. Even though I don't really call myself a triathlete, this is the friendliest site I've ever been on, so I hang around. I'm sure you'll chat with and possibly meet some great people here too.

If you ever ride around the Vancouver area, let me know.

Welcome to BT.

Jen

I live part-time in Maple Ridge too (weekends). I'm currently training for the Oliver Half and Ironman Canada.

A good source for local tri info is the 'Local Ride' bike store at 22328 Dewdney Trunk.
