For the last few weeks my swim workouts are not being updated on Twitter. My bike and run workouts are updating fine.

Any thoughts?

Don't know if this is the same thing but...

when I log my run it only updates my time not distance or pace on Facebook.

Mike, typically I go to my planned blog and use the copy to actual link to populate my actual blog. However, today I entered the swim manually into the actual blog and it updated Twitter. So the problem seems to be when I copy from the planned blog to the actual blog.

Ah. Yeah, I've been aware of that. It's on my list of little fixes to make. Keeps getting pushed back though...

Updates via Twitter don't work with the "Copy To Actual" function.  Turns out that this is not a simple little fix.

If you want your training updates to be sent to your Twitter account, they have to be entered via your Actual Training Log.

Thanks Mike,

actually I found that if I type in a text that is too long for the swim, it won't post to twitter. I can do it pretty consistently.

I thought it was copy related, but it's just because I was copying a long text.

Interesting. I'll take a look at it over the weekend.

Also, I do not seem to have the problem with the bike or run, just the swim

Settings -> Training Log Settings -> Privacy Settings.

One caveat: If you use the "Copy To Actual" function to copy workouts from your Planned Training Log to your Actual Training Log, the workout data will not be tweeted.  You have to enter the data in your Actual Training Log. That's the reason for marcag's swims not updating.

Hi Mike,

I was never using the copy to actual function. I was doing a copy/paste from another file.

very consistently I can copy a short workout and it will work. If it's a long workout description, it fails, very consistently
I saw it fail for the run and bike as well.

Work around is to put a small description, press save, put a full description and press save. Twitter will get the first save. Twitter would truncate to 140 characters anyways.

type this in twice and it won't work. type it in once it will (for me that is, very consistently, all 3 sports)
"this is a long description to test and see if it will get posted to twitter."

This may be related to twitter allowing max 140 character tweets
