Not really a question, more of a statement.  This sucks.

Can I have your coffee then?

Wait, I'm a coffee snob, I probably wouldn't like yours. Thanks anyway. Wink

I'm sorry. I went through this about 4 weeks ago. Hopefully it will pass quickly and you will feel soooo much better!
Out of curiosity... how much were you consuming?

When you feel like treating yourself order some coffee from Novo Coffee here in Denver.  Best cup of coffee I've ever had.

Good luck on that withdrawal thing.  I'm making so many changes in my life right now that I am not willing to even think about giving up coffee.  I don't drink it every day but I do love me some coffee.

I was drinking at least one can of Redbull per day. On days like Sunday when I was struggling to stay awake to drive I'd have two or three.  3x the caffeine of a can of Coke.
I've gone through this before, just forgot how it sucked.

I'm on day two of no Mountain Dew. I was at approx. 36-40 oz. per day. so far o.k., but I am medicating with Ibruprofen to ward off the severe headaches. The last time I tried to quit the headaches got so bad they caused nausea and I puked. You'd think I would have learned my lesson...but no.

I'm committed to making it stick this time.

My guess is that caffeine withdrawal is almost as tough as quitting smoking. I wonder if they make coffee patches.

Dammit, I just looked at the caffeine content in Excedrine, and a full dose of the stuff has almost the caff of Redbull.  No wonder it knocked out my headache today.  This is frustrating.

Oooh ya Excedrine is the one WITH caffeine! Try just plain Ibuprofin...
All though I had to fight the urge to do that since I didn't want to be replacing one chemical in my body with another...

I knew it was in there, wanted to use it to soften the effects.  Didn't realize that one tablet has more caff than a can of Mtn. Dew.

It does.  I am going on 36 hours with no caffeine and the headache started yesterday and has lasted righ into this morning. Although the swim I did this morning seemed to help some.  I know it will pass. . .

I think the best way to beat a caffeine withdrawal headache is a good cup of strong coffee!!  I have given up or cut back on a lot of things in my move to healthier eating, but coffee is where I draw the line right now.  Not sure if will ever be able to give up on the stuff.

I hope kicking caffeine goes well for you.

The best way to avoid withdraw is to slowly eliminate it over a two week period.

With coffee as an example;  cut back on the amount of grinds to make your cup a little bit each day and/or add a little more water.  By going down in the amount of caffeine you take in and completely quit your body won't freak.

Side note:  I've quit smoking, I'm not giving up my coffee!!!

I tried to give up caffeine once... It wasn't worth it!

However, I don't drink sodas anymore, but I refuse to give up coffee.
