Subject: RE: I thought this was kinda cool...........Awwwww... thanks! It was an incredible experience just getting to work the Olympics so finding out I get to throw an Emmy on the shelf is kind of like.... well, it's not even icing - it's like being handed a completely new cake! To be totally honest, the video work we did over there wasn't stellar by any means, it was the AMOUNT and expanse of coverage we had was pretty ground breaking. We covered stuff that had never been covered before - like podium training for gymnastics. We also did a ton of funny, behind the scenes type stuff. If you go to the main page of gymnastics at http://www.nbcolympics.com/gymnastics/index.htmlyou'll see some the stuff I produced like the "chatting with US gymnasts" piece and my personal fav "Don't throw Alicia under a bus" - during the filming of that piece, the bus next to us actually pulled out and ran over some of our equipment - including my blackberry which was deeeevvaaaaassstating. You can see Johnny actually watching it happen in the piece! He stops for a second and goes "oh!!!" and then carries on. It had taken us forever to convince the chinese security people to let us shoot in the parking lot, we finally got them to say yes but we had about 30 security people surrounding us while we were shooting and we were pretty sure they were about to ask us to stop - so we only had one take to get it. Yea - it's not stressful shooting in a communist country at aaallllllll...... But really.... this was my best work... hehe http://www.nbcolympics.com/rhythmicgymnastics/news/newsid=253941.html#confessions+former+rhythmic+mocker Edited by LunaTick 2009-06-18 3:53 PM
