I'll be there and I can't wait!

The new ToC course is probably the fastest course in Victoria!

That's the weekend of the Organic and Sustainability Festival! So once everyone is done racing - come on down to the Glendale Gardens and say hello! I'll have fruit! ;-)

This is the festival information:

I'll be there... Cool

It will be "my first tri"... sort of excited and nervous at the same time... fear of the semi-unknown Undecided

Trying to get used to toe clip pedals and still feel VERY vulnerable with my feet attached to my bike. I'm contemplating replacing the pedals with my standard pedals... as I'd rather finish somewhat slower.. than feel unsafe and run the risk of not finishing at all?!

I've done a few bike to run transitions... I don't find the adjustment too extreme or lengthy. Does it vary somewhat depending on the person... size, relative amount of leg muscle mass, etc?

Undecided right now, depending on work issues. I would love to do it.

Hey..

TR.. thanks again for all the suggestions, support, insights.. not to mention the unitard.. and for connecting me to this wonderful website.. How's the organic festival going? I noticed the studio was packing up a few things to display this weekend...

My heat is at 8:10... later than I'd anticipated..  it's heat #6.... overall I think that'll be alright.. sort of in the middle of all the heats..

How about the 30th anniversary Sri Chinmoy at Elk Lake on August 2? It's an Olympic Distance ... I'm tri-ing it this year for the first time. I'm not sure how I'll do in the open water swim, though I do have a good wetsuit that I think I could float to China in, it's so buoyant ... The bike ride is a bit hellish ... many hills ... but the 10km run around Elk and Beaver Lakes is nice and relatively flat. Also check out the Subaru Triathlon Series; they all have Sprints associated with 'em. Glad you enjoyed the Tri of Compassion ... I had a good race and lots of fun!

Hey...

Thanks for the info. Had a few people recommend the SRI Tri & Duathlon..
Thinking right now that I'd like to do another Sprint.. as I'm not a strong cyclist..
Contemplating Walnut Grove on the mainland at the moment..
Possibility that I may end up at SRI in a team entry.. in the role of.. "just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming along"... hee hee
