Subject: Mini-Mussel Aid Station DetailsMini-Mussel Details The Mini-Mussel sprint aid station is a lot of fun because there are so many people doing their first tri that day. It's a blast and doesn't take much time, about an hour and a half in the morning. You'll need to be there by 9:30am. The aid station is located at the 1 mile point on the run course, just south of the west end of Park Rd. MAP
I'll be at the aid station site between 8:30-8:45. There will be a sun shade set up if it isn't too windy. I'll pick up the volunteer t-shirts and have them at the aid station, so you don't have to check in at the volunteer table. Just come to the aid station. There will be Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts. If I'm in a good mood I might even share them. If you're driving, pull into the park as if you're going to the race, but don't go through the entrance where you would pay to park. Instead, pull off to the right into the volunteer parking lot. There will be a sign that says "Volunteer parking". Then walk straight towards the lake and head right at the path. Follow this to the aid station. The number of people who've committed to this for this year are a bit low at this point so if you can do it, it would be much appreciated! If you're doing the Musselman on Sunday, this is a great way to get psyched up for your race. Remember, without volunteers there would be no triathlons so here's your chance to help keep the sport going! If anyone wants to get in touch with me about this, send me a PM and I'll send you my cell number. |
